From our Board
It is with a sense of deep gratitude and profound reflection that we announce an important decision regarding the future of the South Area Business Association.
After much careful consideration and in alignment with Chapter 181 of our organization’s bylaws, we are officially dissolving the South Area Business Association effective December 31, 2023, as approved by our board of directors.
For the past 70 years since its inception as the Schofield Businessmen’s Association, SABA has had the privilege of being an integral part of our community, serving as a platform for businesses to thrive, connect, and collaborate.
This journey has been marked by countless achievements, shared milestones, and valuable partnerships, all of which have been made possible through the unwavering support of our dedicated members, past and present board members, and the larger South Area community.
We owe our deepest gratitude to all of you who have been a part of this remarkable journey. Your commitment, dedication, and passion have been the driving force for our success. It is your collective efforts that have allowed SABA to flourish and make a lasting impact on our region.
To celebrate our rich history and to express our gratitude for your unwavering support, we are pleased to announce that SABA will be hosting a final luncheon on Tuesday, December 12th. The even will take place in the conference area at Northstar Restoration Services on Wausau’s west side. Additional details will be provided soon.
We hope you and your colleagues will be able to join us then for this special occasion, where we will be able to both celebrate the Christmas season and reminisce about the remarkable moments we’ve shared, as we bid a fond farewell to the South Area Business Association.
While the decision to dissolve SABA is bittersweet, we believe it is the correct step at this juncture, due to changes in technology and social patterns which have dramatically changed the ways business professionals associate and collaborate.
At the same time our professional commitment as businesses and individuals to fostering a vibrant and thriving business community remains unwavering, and we are confident that the legacy of SABA will continue to live on through the enduring connections and memories that have been created.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to every member, board member, and supporter of SABA, past and present, as well as to all members of our community for being an integral part of our incredible journey. We hope to see you at our final luncheon and Christmas concert in December, as we celebrate the legacy of the South Area Business Association.
Thank you for your enduring support and dedication.
Sincerely,
Board of Directors
South Area Business Association, Inc.
