From the President
I am truly honored to be the President of South Area Business Association, and even moreover PROUD to be a member of this community.
On April 7th, 2022 we sent a request to our members asking to fill a need and support our community for Easter Sunday. Within 48 hours we had $2,165 and by the end of the week we had enough funds to fill 86 food baskets that consisted of a full Easter Sunday meal for a family, including a ham, fixings, and even a pie!
The non-profit organizations that benefited and participated with distributing the meals to families in need included the Salvation Army, KATS (Keeping Area Kids Safe) and the Boys & Girls Club of Wausau.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Express Market by Festival Foods in Schofield and their wonderful staff for organizing the food for the baskets, which made the process of distribution incredibly smooth.
On behalf of the SABA Board of Directors I also want to thank everyone else who was involved including our wonderful volunteers who donated their time to pack and load the food boxes, and those who donated financially and demonstrated the giving spirit of the people and businesses of the Wausau and Mosinee area, during this Holiday of Hope!
Stay up to date for other upcoming SABA events by following us on LinkedIn, Facebook, or here on our website, and be sure to sign up to receive our email updates and event announcements!
